The Salzburg Reading Desk© (SRD) is an instrument that helps eye care professionals assess reading acuity, speed and visual function. While simulating a natural reading environment, the SRD calculates distance corrected logMAR and reading speed at various illumination and contrast levels.
The SRD may be helpful in assessing patients with multi-focal or accommodating IOLs, patients with AMD or DR and patients with multi-focal contact lenses.
We will offer two versions of the SRD. A fixed distance research model and a model that assesses reading distance and speed.
The SRD is not available in the US pending FDA classification and clearance.
